Getting started
Getting started with Bailar
Install the app, set your styles and city, find your first social.
Bailar is a free app on iOS and Android. Here's the two-minute setup:
1. Install the app
Download Bailar from the App Store or Google Play. Open it — you'll be asked to pick your language, allow location, and sign in with Apple, Google, a phone number, or email. No passwords: email sign-in uses a one-time code.
2. Pick your styles
Tell us what you dance. Pick as many as you like — salsa on-1, salsa on-2, bachata, kizomba, merengue, cumbia, zouk, or any of the 30+ styles we support — with a skill level for each. You can change this any time from Profile tab → Edit Profile → Dance skills.
3. Set your city
By default we use your location. You can override — go to Profile tab → Settings → Location and pick a spot on the map or search a city or address to browse events and studios somewhere else.
4. Find your first social
Tap Home in the bottom tab bar. The default is tonight & this weekend near you; the Calendar tab browses by date, and the Map card (in Explore more on Home) shows studios, classes, and events around you. Tap a card to see the venue, the door time, the cover, the dance styles, and who else is going. Hit I'm going to say you're in.
What if Bailar isn't live in my city yet?
We're live in 179 countries — but some smaller markets have thinner coverage. If you don't see many events, email support@bailar.site with your city and we'll prioritize crawling it.
